Overall Amegy Bank rated just below average.  What plagued Amegy Bank the most was the interest rates that it offered; they were well below the industry average to say the least.  Bright spots include their customer service and checking accounts, but that is about it when it comes to Amegy Bank.  Unless you are interested only in those two areas it would be a better idea to look elsewhere until Amegy Bank increases its interest rates more.
