Amegy Bank Website Usability Ratings

Amegy Bank has an average website compared to other major banks.  It certainly has a professional look to it that makes it stand out from among the rest.  There were two problems that we found in regards to Amegy Bank’s website; the first was that information regarding specific accounts was not all presented upfront.  One had to do a lot of clicking around to figure out all of the features, rates, and fees for an account, and in today’s world that is just not good enough when it comes to convenience.  All of the information should be presented on one page for customers to see, instead of over many pages.  If one were to look for detailed information on personal savings for instance it would take them some time to figure out just what the rates are, let alone anything else associated with the account.  The second problem is the font used throughout most of the website; it is small at times and hard to read.  Amegy Bank certainly has its fair share of upsides and downsides and that is why we rated it as average when compared to other major banks.
