Ratings of FNBO Direct Website Usability (3/5)

 FNBO’s website has a lot of good things going for it, with only a few minor problems.  The home page features the interest rate in large font, which is good to know without having to click around a lot.  When researching more about the kinds of services offered such as savings accounts one will find the information to be easy to comprehend and mostly upfront.  It is mostly upfront because the fees and penalties associated with each account are not provided.  There is not a search bar on the website to find out what they are, so one must have to look around until they are able to find the disclosures page.  In other words, the website makes something more complicated than it has to be.  Why not simply include what the penalties and fees are alongside the other information?   One can only wonder why they do not do this, as many other online banks do.  Lastly, we found a lot of great interactive calculators for anything from auto loans to stocks.  Overall FNBO’s website usability is average compared to similar banks.
