ING Direct Bank Rating – Customer Service (3/5)
ING’s customer service was about what one would expect to find at an online bank, with nothing really separating it from the rest of the pack. While contacting them through email was fast and effective, talking to representatives through the phone was not always that easy. There were times when the representative clearly did not know how to resolve a particular problem yet continued trying different solutions instead of transferring us to someone who did. ING does get high marks in friendliness, but their customer service needs to improve timeliness through the phone in order to be above average. See our review for ING Direct.
