ING offers online CD accounts ranging from six months to five years.  The rates are competitive when it comes to the shorter term lengths, but for the longer term lengths (two to five years), the rates are below the national average.  There are no fees associated with any of the CD accounts offered although there is an early withdrawal penalty (three months interest for a CD one year or less, six months interest for longer).  A positive when it comes to ING’s CD accounts is that it takes little to no time at all to set up since it is online.  Overall however, it may be best to look elsewhere if one is looking into longer term CD accounts.
