ING Direct Bank Ratings – Savings Account (4/5)

ING offers a savings account with an interest rate of 1.00%.  While this is on average with other online banks, it is important to note that the rate is actually lower than what is offered for their checking account (at least 1.10% with a minimum of $50,000).  Aside from this there are two great features associated with ING’s savings account. The first is that there is no minimum deposit or minimum balance required, which is great in today’s economic times.  The second is that there are no fees associated with the account other than a wire transfer fee.  Overall we found ING’s savings account to be above average in comparison to other online banks.
