    Sallie Mae Bank Rating – Customer Service (3/5)

     We found Sallie Mae Bank’s customer service to be about average compared to other similar banks.  Sallie Mae Bank is accessible by both email and phone, however when using both of them we found their response to be not so timely.  In fact, there were stretches of time where we had to wait 15 minutes or so just to speak to a customer service representative.  When we did get in touch with one of them they were very friendly, professional, and courteous.  All of our questions were thoroughly answered, and we did not encounter any runarounds with Sallie Mae Bank’s customer service.  If only the bank did not have slow waiting times its customer service would have rated much higher.
