Suntrust Bank Rating

Suntrust Bank was below average in our overall ratings.  While the rates offered on their CDs were competitive, the other accounts were well below average.  The fees were somewhat reasonable with the different accounts offered, but the $5 per month fee simply for using a check card is preposterous to say the least.  Why penalize those who are responsible with their money by charging such a fee?  Like their accounts, Suntrust Bank’s website usability was below average, with an unappealing interface and jumbled information dragging it down.  Some parts of Suntrust Bank’s customer service was great (branches), while others not so much (phone).  Suntrust Bank has a ways to go before it can be considered one of the top banks in the industry.
