Suntrust Bank Website Usability Rating

Suntrust Bank’s website usability was below average in our overall of it.  The website is fairly easy to navigate, but one has to do a lot of click around to find out specific information regarding an account.  Suntrust Bank certainly could have simplified the website a bit more to aid its customers.  Most of the information was presented upfront, although the interest rates were not.  It can take some time before finding out that one has to click on a small label titled “compare accounts” on each page in order to view the rates offered.  One cannot find the rates anywhere else, so if they cannot find the compare accounts label they will be in for a frustrating experience.  The website did not have a very appealing interface, as the font on each page was simply too small.  The website tries to cram in as much information as possible into each page, which has both its downsides and its upsides.  The one bright spot for Suntrust Bank’s website came in regards to the account sign up process, which was both fast and easy to do.  As far as website features there was nothing special on the website other than the compare accounts label, which makes it somewhat easier to see what Suntrust Bank is offering.
